In issuing this second edition of Moulana Muhammad Ali's Life and Services to the country, the Publishers have taken the opportunity of revising it and considerably enlarging it so as to make it up-to-date and comprehensive.
They have also appended to it the full text of Moulana Muhammad Ali's remarkable address to the Jury which, as has been universally admitted, is a master-piece, not only in regard to the exposition of a devout Muslim's faith, but also in regard to the great legal points raised in the trial. To one who has read The Trial and Death of Socrates, that small but brilliant volume in the Golden Treasury Series, the Karachi Trial will not fail to strike as a repetition of that famous trial episode in Athenian history.
