Seth Butler, his wife and nine year old son, Adam, left Arkansas for the Oklahoma Territory to participate in the great land rush of 1893. His wife died giving birth to a baby girl while still on the trail. he feared for the baby's life without nourishment, so he handed his new born daughter over to a complete stranger who was nursin her own child. The two families were separated on the way to the starting point when Seth's wagon broke an axle. Too late for the land rush, Seth settled on Cherokee land. Once settled, his search for Karl and Betsy Tremblay began, but it was a futile search. Would he ever find his daughter? He finally resigned himself to the fact it might not ever happen, but he knew in his heart he would never forget her or stop praying for her safety. A touching story of emotions and hearbreak, but also hope.
