These Lectures comprise the first third of this book, and they are revised from lectures delivered to his congregation in Joliet, Illinois. The second part is an long poem in three cantos, describing the Premillenial Conflict. Its purpose was to "be instrumental in hastening the final triumph of the Messiah's Kingdom in the world - Preface." Burdick was ordained an S. D. B. Minister, but became a Presbyterian.
