However, if they will not come to this good Resoluton, let them forbear abusing and persecuting those that (by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christy are. The next is 1 Cor: ix. 7, 14. « Who goeth a Warfare at his own Charges? Who planteth a f Vineyard,and eateth not of the Fruit thereof? Who « feedeth a Flock, and eateth not of the Milk there of? Even so hath the Lord ordained, that those which 'preach the Gospel, should live of the Gospel.' Joseph hath left out what he thought made against it, from the 8th Verse to the 13th, and 15th, where holy Paul says, (though he had Power to eat and drink Verse 4. at free Cost,yet he doth not say any where, that he had Power to take it by Force, and we think it ought to be preached from an inward Necessity, and not for an outward Maintenances 1 have used none of these Things, neither bave I written those Things, that it should be so done unto me.
