If anything were wanted to guarantee the the success of this organisation, it is the fact that we have' His Royal Highness as our President. Under his auspices and guidance the work, which has been carried forward to such an extent already, will be rapidly advanced.. In a short time a 'number of gentlemen closely connected with this industry will be leaving for the Conference to be held in the Dominion of Canada. They are much to be envied in having the opportunity of visiting that country, and I am quite sure that they will take out the good wishes of all members of the Association in the work in which they are going to take part. I am divulging no secrets, but perhaps at a later period of the year we may be, and I trust that we shall be in a position to welcome the representatives of the Dominions in the old country at the Economic Conference which has been suggested by the Prime Minister. A large number of subjects will have to be discussed on that occasion, but I can assure you that if I am privileged to take any part in the preparation of the agenda, it will undoubtedly include that question with which this Association is so intimately connected. His Royal Highness referred to the Exhibition, which, we all trust, and which I am confident, will be successfully inaugurated next year at Wembley. As Chairman of the Executive Council, I shall not deny for one moment that there have been periods of anxiety in connection with that Exhibition.
