Reseña del editor

The writer has prepared this little book with the view of meeting the wants of pupils in the preparatory department of his own school. He offers it to teachers and the public, in the hope that it will be found valuable as a textbook introductory to the study of bothE nglish andF rench Grammar. Assuming that the pupil has as yet no knowledge, of the principles or laws of language, the author undertakes to explain the various parts of speech, with their modifications, both in English and in French, and to show how they are employed in the construction of sentences; giving examples and exercises for translation under each chapter.
