Rafael Batista had just died from a brain aneurysm in June 2039. His best friend Randall Sloane and his son Jorge mourn his death. While at the reception, Jorge fiddles around with the game puck he received from Rafael the week prior. Randall and Jorge see a signature in which Jorge cannot figure out who it's by. Thus that leads to Randall going through memories of his youth and growing up with Rafael. Starting from Woodstock 1969, all the way to 2016, the reader will journey through health epidemics, growing pains, sexuality, and loss in order to find out what is the story behind the puck.
