A native New Yorker, Barbara Rothstein moved to Los Angeles with her late filmmaker husband, Roger Rothstein and their two daughters, Carolyn and Leslie. She has been a teacher, a lawyer, and a professional songwriter, with works appearing and featured in film, TV and records in Los Angeles and internationally. She turned to her first love, writing prose and poetry about 11 years ago, and has been part of the Jack Grapes Los Angeles Poets & Writers Collective ever since. Her work has been published on-line in Cultural Weekly, and in several print editions of ON THE BUS, FRE&D, and I’ll Have Wednesday. She has published three chap books—Crucial Pieces of a Puzzle is her newest work.
