The books in the Having Fun with Music series are designed to provide teachers and parents with a complete method for teaching young children about the fundamentals of music along with basic piano skills. The activities in these books were specifically created for children in kindergarten through the early elementary grades based on the developmental needs of this age group. Each lesson introduces basic musical concepts through games and other activities, and each unit concludes with a song to be sung and played. Children are encouraged to listen, to sing, to move, and to improvise at the keyboard, while also learning about musical notation.
