For hundreds of thousands of years, on a dry, lifeless planet called Galtos V, nepols (metal balls of people) have been stored in underground vaults. Eventually, a human, called Toc, built metal bodies for the imprisoned people. They became metal people called MePe’s who are indestructible and almost immortal. Their peaceful existence is threatened by the Galactic Federation, which wants the MePe’s technology in order to conquer the Galaxy. The MePe’s finally escape Galtos V and travel to a safe planet system, called Retou, near the Outer Rim of the Galaxy. However, the Federation followed them and attacked the MePe’s new home. The MePe’s are forced to make a decision, leave or stay and fight. Being non-violent and peaceful, they decided to leave and head to another Galaxy.
