Whenever we read about the many soldier poets of the First World War, we only ever hear about when they died - whereas, for the whole of their lives before that, they will, in fact, have celebrated their birthdays every year.As part of my research into poets, writers, artists and inspirational women of World War One, I have put together mini biographies of hundreds and hundreds of people – some of whom were well known in their day but have, sadly, been forgotten with the passage of time – and many more who were then and have remained practically unheard of since in the mainstream media. In this handy little book, I have listed the birthdates of a few of those people so you can see who you might share a birthday with. There are also blank pages for each month where you can make a note of your own important dates so that you can keep track of them from year to year rather than having to keep copying off last year’s calendar!
