Everyone has a story and every story deserves to be told, but knowing what to say and how to say it can be overwhelming for many people. "Telling Your Truth: A Step-by-Step Guide to Writing Your Memoir," is a simple reference guide on all aspects of memoir writing. It was designed to help individuals think more clearly about the story they want to share, and give them the tools necessary to put it in writing. This book contains 46 chapters on a wide variety of memoir-writing tips such as how to define the purpose of your memoir, navigating emotional memories, and crafting good descriptions. Each chapter works as a writing guide, breaking down topics into easy-to-digest segments, making it simple for even the most novice of writers to capture their own family history and personal legacy.
