The Synoptic Problem and a New Solution

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - In 'The Sypnoptic Problem and a New Solution', R. H. Crompton tackles one of the most enduring challenges in New Testament scholarship: the complex literary relationship between the three Synoptic Gospels-Matthew, Mark, and Luke. This work provides a meticulous examination of the parallels, divergences, and structural similarities that have puzzled theologians and historians for centuries.Crompton presents a distinctive theory regarding the origins and source materials of these foundational Christian texts. By analyzing the linguistic patterns and thematic connections within the narratives, the author seeks to resolve contradictions and offer a more cohesive understanding of how the Gospel accounts were composed and transmitted. This study is not merely a technical analysis; it is a profound exploration of the historical and literary evolution of early Christian doctrine.Ideal for students of theology, biblical scholars, and those interested in the history of the early Church, 'The Sypnoptic Problem and a New Solution' remains a significant contribution to the field of biblical criticism. It offers readers a rigorous framework for interpreting the sacred texts that form the basis of the Christian tradition, challenging conventional wisdom and inviting fresh perspectives on the nature of the Gospel record. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
