Author Elissa Holt is a happily married, home­schooling mom to seven amazing little people. She lives, laughs, works, and loves with her husband and favorite person, John Holt, in the Texas panhandle. They farm, ranch, and run a ­real-life, old-fashioned homestead complete with chickens, ducks, geese, hogs, and about a half dozen Jersey cows with dainty ankles. Her days are filled with children, critters of all sizes with fur or feathers, read-a-louds, and plenty of adventures . . . with the laundry to prove it. Surrounded daily by inspiration, Elissa writes her heart, treasuring the little things and loving the view. Illustrator Larry Love was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Spearman, Texas. He attended the Spearman schools and later took classes at Frank Phillips College and Clarendon College. Always having been a lover of art, he studied portraiture under Marlin Adams in 1990. Larry has won numerous awards over the years, including the “David Beck Memorial Award for Realism.” He was named “Artist of the Year” by the Pampa Fine Arts Association in 2009. Larry works in acrylic, oil, pencil, and colored pencil.
