The author of this guide, Tim Nickel, is a Lutheran pastor and missionary. Tim and Marguerite, his wife, sensed a call to foreign mission work to plant new churches in unreached territory. In 1998 Tim was sent as an Evangelistic Missionary to the newly independent country of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. After overseeing the start of over 50 churches in Kyrgyzstan, the Nickels moved to Turkey where they lived for two years, retiring and repatriating to St. Augustine, Florida, in in 2009 Both the book and this guide are about learning to forgive when forgiveness seems difficult. The goal of this Study Guide is to open the possibility of love and forgiveness to all who want to learn to forgive as Jesus did.
