Mr Dominic Davenport

Dominic Davenport is a Trauma & Orthopaedic Registrar on the South East Thames rotation. He completed his undergraduate medical training at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2010 and Foundation and Core Surgery training years in Chichester and London hospitals. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal sports injuries and is currently studying for an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Bath. He is also a Research Fellow for a national sports injury service.

Medical education has always been a passion and during postgraduate training Dominic has designed and delivered several undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes on musculoskeletal topics, including a mini-ATLS course for medical students, knee aspiration workshops for FY, CST and CMT trainees and contributing to regional e-teaching series for core surgical topics. He has received a King’s College Hospital NHS Trust award for contribution to teaching and a South Thames Foundation School Leadership award. He has published articles on orthopaedic examination techniques focused on preparation for the MRCS exam and hopes to continue delivering medical education throughout his career.

Sam Thenabadu graduated from King’s College Medical School in 2001 and dual trained in Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine in London before being appointed a consultant in 2011 at the Princess Royal University Hospital. He has Masters degrees in Clinical Medical Education and Advanced Paediatrics.

He is undergraduate director of medical education at the King's College NHS Trust and the academic block lead for Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at King's College School of Medicine. At postgraduate level he has been the Pan London Health Education England lead for CT3 paediatric emergency medicine trainees since 2011. Academically he has previously written two textbooks and has published in peer review journals and given numerous oral and poster presentations at national conferences in emergency medicine, paediatrics, medical education and patient quality and safety.
