No doubt you’ve experienced the highs and lows of life—we all do, and there’s no changing that. However, what about those continually fighting to get through the day? Those who struggle with suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), the death of loved ones, and more? How does one cope with the soul-crushing realization that one’s life seems so minuscule in the grand scheme?

For some, therapy is the answer. For others, they write in their journals, punch a bag, or play video games. Some seek counsel from a friend, no matter how near or far they may be. The thing is, my friends, suicide is such a taboo—mental health is often looked down upon and receives the silent treatment. People seem to care only when it affects them or a beloved celebrity. I am here to put the words before your eyes and listen to others ready to leave their darkness behind and push on to better days.

So, dear reader, here we are—another dose of side effects in which we are all victims. It doesn’t matter the color of your skin, religion, or gender; we all experience the side effects of life.
