When I was In my mid-fifties, I noticed that I seemed to be living a plan that I had not authored. I made career advancements within fixed time frames motivated by my intuition. After some inquiry, I became aware that many people were living a similar plan on a similar time frame. Twenty-two years later, I mapped my life and realized there was never a time that I was not in training to fulfill my life’s purpose. Nine years ago I awaken to a voice, which said “Get Ready.” I was 73 years-old and had no idea of what I was to get ready for. I was confused. Exactly one year later I awaken again to the voice, which said “The time is now.” Wow! I had one year to prepare and all I accomplished was unsuccessfully trying to determine how to “get ready” for some unknown task. Over the following weeks, I was constantly aware of my every thought and action for a clue to this unknown task. Then it hit me. I was living the theory I developed nearly twenty-years earlier, which are detailed in this book. Being a professor of public policy, my background in decision analysis, statistics and systems analysis provided me with the research, data collection tools and knowledge to identify phases of this unique career development process. My hope is that it helps you to also identify your life’s purpose and the joy that comes with living a fulfilling life.
