John Edward Roessler (1962 - ) was born in a small railroad town, Altoona, Pennsylvania, USA. He began reading and writing poetry in his teens. In 1984 he joined the U.S. Army and is now honorably retired. He has lived in various places throughout the United States and abroad. He holds a Master of Business Administration and is an educated Russian and Thai linguist and an avid reader of the classics. A motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoys traveling and creating food recipes for family and friends. He has four children, five grandchildren, and two Labradors. He lives with his wife, Watinee, in Alexandria, Virginia.
