Traveling showman, Antonio Vargas has locked himself inside a jail cell, no sheriff or deputy tending the office. A notorious outlaw apprehended for horse thievery occupies the adjacent cell. Vargas has a story to tell, one that just might rewrite Wild West history, that is, unless it can be stopped before it spreads. Winston, his Cherokee friend, holds the key to the beginning and possibly the end of a world dominated by man. Hold onto your britches as Vargas tells his cellmate what is causing the chaos out on the streets and why the steel bars grant them safety from something almost unexplainable. Outlaws are not known for their patience and the showman is long winded, spinning the yarn one encounter at a time. Real Wild West characters are depicted in unreal situations, a fictional romp by the author. Sure, factual information as researched is accurate but the accounts Vargas shares are fun fiction from the author's even wilder imagination. Good guys are good. Bad guys are bad. There was a time when shooting someone dead meant they remained dead. Boot Hill doesn't have a grave for everyone, not according to Vargas. Unlock your jail cell and venture outside if you think the snake oil peddler is spewing hogwash, fairy tales. Choose wisely though. Saddle up your pony and prepare for a raw ride, that is if your pony is still standing. Spirit Walkers aren't too particular come mealtime.
