"Over the course of more than thirty years, Sue and John Wieland have built a contemporary art collection that is unique in its focus on a single theme: the house. The choice is not only personal for John, who has spent his career as a homebuilder, but also strategic, supplying parameters through which to explore the otherwise vast field of contemporary art. Along the way they discovered, to their great pleasure, that their seemingly narrow focus is fertile ground for a broad range of artists." (Dimling Cochran). This beautifully illustrated publication provides a representative cross section of the Wieland Collection. With checklist of the catalogue, epilog by Sue and John Wieland, and biographical info on the authors Rebecca Dimling Cochran, Lisa Kurzner, Michael Rooks, and Michael E. Shapiro at rear. Binding with few very light smudges on covers, else in fine condition. Artikel-Nr. 52066
