Storms of Life: Learning to Trust God Again Everyone experiences life storms. Maybe it’s divorce, bankruptcy, illness or the loss of loved ones. During the hard times, we are sometimes compelled to ask, “Why?” Why does God allow such suffering in this world He created? In the midst of the storms of life, we find some people are able to come through with their faith intact and even stronger than ever. Some others walk away from God and faith during similar difficulties. What’s the difference? Take a journey through this book and learn to “trust God again” even in the midst of dark tragedy. Using the backdrop of a devastating tornado that ravaged the community of Moore, Oklahoma in 2013, we’ll examine dozens of stories of hope, faith and overcoming. Let’s find out how we can find and run to the Lord during our darkest days.

Steven Earp married Chrysty, his junior high sweetheart, when they were far too young to marry. In spite of their early wedding, they’ve now had 20 great years of marriage (and a couple of rough ones!) They have five great kids: Alyssa (22) who just married Tyler; Kimmy (20) who is about to marry Wesley; then John-Mark (16), Mikayla (15) and Jeremy (13), all still at home. Steven planted and pastors Elevate Church in Moore, Oklahoma, the community where he’s spent most of his life. Before pastoring Elevate, the Earps spent most of their adult lives serving churches and simultaneously operating businesses to fund ministry. He works extensively with recruiting, training, coaching and resourcing church planters.
