A conversation with Sheri Kohlmann examines Guided Autobiographies classes. Robert Yehling adds two pieces of entirely different slant and direction: “Finding Clay Marzo’s Voice,” about his work with an autistic surfing great that became the acclaimed biography Just Add Water; and his lively interview with fictionist-memoirist-artist E.E. King, whom the late, great Ray Bradbury regarded as a daughter and protégé for many years. Another fine work comes from Denis Horgan, who relates life as the editor-in-chief of a Bangkok newspaper during the Vietnam War. In addition to the biography and memoir pieces, this issue is full of submissions from contributors of ten different countries, including many new and first time poets. Brian Gillespie’s epic poem, “The Collection on His Shelf.” New contributor Dennis Glauber relays history, humor, and pathos that he found in what might be “right” about the “left” in his poem, “Reading from Right to Left.”
