After receiving a BS in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University and an MS in Technical Communication from North Carolina State University, Becca Bessinger, with the support of her partner, decided to stay at home temporarily when their daughter was born. That decision has blossomed into a 9-year stint of what Bessinger describes as "playing, dusting, vacuuming, and creating." She is an award-winning songwriter and a performing artist as well. This book is Bessinger's first. Illustrator Biography: Kris Manning finally found out what she wanted to be when she grew up when she moved to Charleston, SC in 2011. Her background includes sales management, marketing, advertising and business development in the food industry, television and radio. When she arrived on the shores of the magical Holy City she pitched it all to pursue music and art. Kris holds a degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Connecticut which means she can wield a pair of drumsticks with the best of them. This is how she met the multi-talented Becca Bessinger; through musical adventures. This book is the first of many U adventures that they will share together.
