James Wells writes about the intersection of humans and the natural world. A life-long caver, he has explored and mapped new passages in many of North America's great caves. He is the great-grandson of pioneering science fiction author H.G. Wells. The author lives in northwest Washington with his wife and his daughter, where he is working on Volume II of The Great Symmetry.
