The book has 16 pages and it is printed on a glossy thick paper. The flaps are made from the same paper and they are really big flaps in the shape of speech bubbles. The size of the flaps makes them easy for your little one to lift up. My daughter loves lift the flap books and this one is gorgeous. I like the fact that under each flap is an animal. From playing with this book alone and me telling her the word she has just learnt Goose . That is what I want from a child s book...nice clear pictures, large text and a lovely story... those elements together make a book that a child wants to pick up and read. Goz the gosling has just hatched and goes looking for his mum. He sees parts of other animals, such as a long green leg or a wagging brown tail and the reader lifts the flap to see whether the animal is his mum or not.
