Annette-Frances B's (A. F.) first poem was published in a children's magazine, when she was just ten. Throughout the years her poems have been included in a number of books and magazines. She also writes children's poems under the name of A. F. B. Griffey. She grew up within a happy, loving family where she was encouraged to embrace music, poetry, travel and adventure. Her mother gave up a career as a professional singer, when Annette-Frances B. was just three, but she never stopped singing - in choirs and even whilst walking along the beach. Her father, originally a professional adagio dancer, told wonderful theatrical tales and used to act out various scenes from Shakespeare. Annette-Frances B. has taught in pre-schools and lectured in colleges. She is married, has three grown up children and two lively grandchildren. Enjoyable pursuits include travel, running on the beach with her lovable Labrador, music, poetry and white water rafting.
