Carl Mason was born in Lincolnshire, educated in the North (both sides of the Pennines) and now practices law predominantly in the South. He is a litigator and lives in Norwich, the setting of his debut novel. Married with one son, already the sportsman Mason himself dreamed of being, he plays the guitar very badly and golf and table tennis marginally better. He raises occasional sums for charity by running marathons slowly.
