The scurrilous cult comic Modern Toss is the work of the writers, cartoonists and animator Jon Link and Mick Bunnage. Their outrageously observant humour pokes fun at the ridiculous and the mundane with global appeal, summing up perfectly what it is to be a Modern Tosser. Their Channel 4 animation Business Mouse picked up a Royal Television Society Award in 2012, and in 2013 they set a worldrecord for the longest cartoon with the word 'fuck' in it, The Fuckyeux Tapestry. In early 2014 Modern Toss staged a uniqueUK exhibition, The Cistern Chapel, displaying artwork in gallery toilets, along with two live drawing events in London and Coventry.In their tenth anniversary year (2014) 'A Decade in the Shithouse' was published, a 560 page hardback - after being successfully funded via Kickstarter which was complemented by an extensive social media campaign and nationwide mediacoverage. In October 2014 Modern Toss staged a major exhibition at The Forge Gallery in Shoreditch, London to celebratetheir tenth anniversary generating extensive press and media coverage. In early 2015 the BBC commissioned Modern Toss toproduce The Lady And The Fly - an emotionally charged and lavish six-minute animation Voiced by Mackenzie Crook andPaul Kaye; with the epic sweep of a classic romantic melodrama - for the BBC's Funny Valentines series that was releasedglobally on iPlayer on Valentine's Day. This was followed by an experimental sound project to promote the BBC proms 'Orchestral Disturbance no3 in E Major' took an existing orchestral performance and replaced the instrument sounds with doorbells and explosions. Later in 2015 an animated BBC iPlayer project 'How I Survived University' was realised to coincide withFreshers Week, and was received with much critical acclaim.Media Coverage: Modern Toss has a regular and continuous presence in the most prestigious national print media withcartoons in The Guardian Guide, and Private Eye Magazine. Their social media presence has grown six fold since Sep 2013,amassing over 130,000 followers on Facebook and Twitter combined as well as a staunch online fanbase.
