All his living years he wandered this most grassy land, observing like a rabbit will do, all the mysteries of life seeing all things as if they were new. Taking notice of the sun, the moon, the stars and the breeze, the dirt and the rain, and the seasons that change. He had also taken notice of all that was and wasn't good to eat. Chickweed, scurfpea, sage, and wild wheat. Poppy mallow, leadplant, three awn, and twig. Asters, indigo, goldenrod and switch. Flax, harry gromwell, dogbane and bundelflower. Dandelion, ground cherry, spiderwort and tickclover. Whitlow, prickly pear, morning glory and yarrow. And just maybe he would recognize a few more tomorrow.
