The claim that 'everyone is beautiful' is professed loudly by cosmetic and beauty brands, however it needs to be validated by making services, treatments and products available to all people, including those who are underrepresented because of their race, ethnicity, cultural background, or disability. As Americans, we need to recognize and legitimize the different standards for beauty that exist and that there are different ways to respect and honor those beauty traditions. We elevate the entire industry by working to become more inclusive, equitable and offer representation to all.
The Third Edition of Fearless Beauties adds chapters on treating the client with Down syndrome, treating the client in a wheelchair, treating the client who has cancer and dealing with the client who has body dysmorphia.
