"The Greener Grass" is an autobiography.Irvin Jondahl is a retired medical doctor, currently living in Texas. He is a husband, father and grandfather.Born in 1943, he entered the world in Spencer, Iowa and grew up in the neighboring town of Ruthven. His grandfather was from Norway.After high school, he joined the Navy for four years and then started college. After leaving Ruthven, the search for "the greener grass on the other side of the fence" propelled him on a lifelong adventure. Throughout his life he worked at enumerable jobs and professions in a variety of locations, and his studies took him to four different countries.
