Introductory offer for first 50 purchases. Our novel is based upon real people and their true life experiences. It begins with the murder of Hermann Landberg, a prominent ophthalmologist, in St. Petersburg, Russia in the summer of 1900. And subsequently the trial of his murderer, Julian Becker. From the tragic beginning of our story, we proceed to the departure of Dr. Landberg's illegitimate daughter, Annie Litvak and her mother Miriam, along with her husband Meir, from Imperial Russia to a new life in America. The remainder of this story unfolds in 20th century America and deals with many of the trials and tribulations faced by several generations of the descendants of Hermann Landberg and Miriam Litvak. In fact this chronicle encompasses five generations. In some instances the authors have taken the liberty to move out of a chronological sequence in an effort to present the stories in an easily followed order. Many of these moments have also been similar to the authors' own personal family experiences.
