Inhaltsangabe

Modeled after classic fairy tales of yesteryear, "The Legend of Clover Hill's Hidden Cave Dwellers" tells the story of the "Grunge", a scary monster of a human being who used to be a normal person. He devolved into a hermit living with three dogs in a cave beneath an elementary school. They eat whatever they can scrounge and sure could use a good bath. The Grunge aspires to torment children, but he is terribly afraid of niceness and leaves well-behaving children alone. This full color picture book is intended for kids from 1st to 5th grades and provides life lessons with a humorous twist. The presented lessons are part of what is in essence a morality play on a small scale. The story is filled with old-fashioned values designed to serve as a spring-board for adults to discuss the ideas with children. The author's hope is to contribute to the efforts of parents and teachers of all kinds in promoting development of moral reasoning skills among our youth. Early development of an internal moral compass is essential for living a good life.
