Stevie Bedtime Storybooks are based on sparkles of truth. They are kind & fabled tales of joy & gladness—funny, heartwarming, affectionate favorites—for the children in your life—those with bright eyes, happy hearts and toothless grins, (and of course, the ‘kid’ still inside you.)
Stevie books quiet the noises of the day, helping kids feel silly, loved, (safe, cozy & dozy) at bedtime.
Stevie books also help parents put their children to bed on time, every time. Just be mindful when you say, “It’s Stevie time.” They will likely hear, “It’s TV time.” And that’s on you! ‘-)

Adventures abound in this amazingly crafted, full-color illustrated story about a sweet little boy who loves his bed SO MUCH, he wishes he could take it everywhere he goes. And you know what? He does. One-page captivating adventures which will intrigue & fascinate your little one (Ages 4-8). The perfect bedtime story for sleepyheads everywhere. The illustrations are SO VIVID and GOOD, your kids will talk to the book, Stevie, in particular.
NOTE: (1/2)
This book has the same identical interior as the duplicate title with the same title name but different ISBNs.
The differences are with the cover illustrations for the Kindle and the paperback.
One paperback has a trim size of 8 x 10" with Stevie flying his bed like a kite way up to the stars and moon.
The other paperback cover is 8 1/2 x 11" with Stevie in bed with his toys all picked up.
Children just prefer different illustrated covers and larger physical picture books.
Author's Insight:
The author uses a little misdirection (or leg-pulling) in his books, which is his nature, coming from a comic strip background. He feels this adds to the flavor and fun of his bedtime stories immensely. He believes his tongue-in-cheek writing style resonates with children’s funny bones.
NEW RELEASE: The author has elevated this wildly popular ‘picture book’ to a full-color, illustrated, 6 x 9” paperback novella so older children can get in on the fun too. It’s a fuller, richer, adventure story, released on Valentines Day 2023. Print ISBN 978-1-62485-114-8 ~ Kindle ISBN 978-1-62485-115-5

Steve Laible is the proud father of three sons, Adam, Chase and Kyle. On New Year's Eve, 1993, Steve retired from the United States Air Force after a 22-year distinguished career, enlisted & commissioned. He served three years with the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon; five years with the Commander-in-Chief, Pacific (Hawaii) and was the Chief of Administration for the USAF Honor Guard in Wash DC under President Reagan. Steve was named "USAF Outstanding Administrator of the Year". He was also nominated for a White House Fellowship under President Clinton and awarded the Bronze Star device for Desert Storm. He earned his B.S. and MBA in his off-duty time, evenings and weekends--it took 12 years! Steve was born in Ashland, Oregon and graduated from Marshfield (Coos Bay). His community volunteerism spans decades and includes adult literacy tutor; ChildHelp USA, the Cooper Home; Cystic Fibrosis, Special Olympics events; and was invited annually to play Santa Claus & the Easter Bunny. Steve is a big kid at heart. He loves to make people laugh (smiles count). He's made the semi-final auditions for CBS' Big Brother and Survivor six times. His is now terrified of making either show as he's lost his "agility". (Code for he's old.) Steve is concerned for the arts; the need for leadership & mentoring; teenaged homelessness; the environment and many more. He truly believes a change of heart changes everything. Steve created the comic strip, Stevie Tenderheart, sort of a retelling of his youth, which ran in local newspapers for about five years. He ended the comic strip in 2010 to write children's books.
