"Two Indians, one Native American and the other South Asian Parsi meet in the sixties in Berkeley. Spanning a period from war to war—Vietnam to Chiapas—friendships and stories intertwine with the controversies or race and history. By turns tragic and comic, heartbreak tempered by hilarity."—Karen Tei Yamashita author of I Hotel and Tropic of Orange
