Larry Hartsfield is a professor of English and Communications at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Professor Hartsfield has won awards for excellence in teaching at his college and at the state level. He received his Ph.D. in American Civilization from the University of Texas at Austin. His pleasure in poetry and of playing with words began with nursery rhymes read to him by his parents as a child and have followed and guided him through his career in the study and teaching of the art of language.
