The poems in this collection were written during the summer of 2007 while the author was travelling through the prefecture of Fukuoka, Japan, with his wife and dog. One of the poems in the book is written twice with different titles because the author sees the experience on two different levels and affect the poet in different ways. These poems work their way through the summer heat while the author dredged up good and bad memories of his childhood.
