Jill Weisensel is a consultant and instructor for Verbal Defense and Influence and has campus law enforcement experience, working in part, directing and managing shift patrol operations within an urban campus environment. She is a Defensive and Arrest Tactics Instructor and a Tactical Communication instructor, has taught applications of Tactical Strength and Conditioning at Marquette University, and has a decade of experience in the field. She is also a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. In understanding the need for non-escalatory tactics and a more effective and professional way to relate with and manage people, she became an advocate of Vistelar's universally applicable Verbal Defense and Influence program, and completely integrated it into the Verbal Defense and Influence Bystander Mobilization training. Her academic background (Master's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Carthage College), athletic training and professional experience make her uniquely qualified to train and speak on topics such as: the need for personal credibility and professional development, personal safety and self-defense and the development of leadership and life skills. In addition to speaking at multiple Midwest colleges, she has most recently presented her work at the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators Principle's Conference, the 2013 Big Brothers Big Sisters Regional Conference: Bully Prevention Workshop, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Milwaukee SPEAK OUT Against Sexual Violence event, and the 2014 National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) National Conference.
