Painting a vivid picture of Nigeria in the recent past, Pero is the story of four young men who become close friends despite very different backgrounds: one is an African Christian, one is a Pagan, one is a Nigerian Muslim, and the last is a white missionary kid from the U.S. As often happens, the boys go their separate ways as they grow into men.

They are reunited, however, when one of them chooses a course of terrorism and destruction: the others must find the way to cross the years of separation and stop their old friend before many innocent people die.

In part a coming-of-age story of special friendships, Pero is also a suspenseful tale set in today's headlines that builds to a gripping conclusion.
