Rita Hsu Syers lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, the daughter of a Chinese mother and an Irish-American father. PureHeart is her first adult supernatural novel.She is the author of Mystery of the Crying Ghost, (2008) the first book in a new mystery/adventure series for juveniles ages 8-13, now in its second printing. The second book in the series, Curse of the Stone Idol, will be published shortly.
