Melissa Heiland is wife to Ken and mother of six children. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and has home-schooled and taught in Christian and public schools. She served as a full-time missionary with IMB and has led volunteer mission teams since 1999. She is the founder of Beautiful Feet International, an evangelical mission organization that helps churches plan and prepare for short-term missions. She is also active at a local crisis pregnancy center where she is director of client services. Her passion is telling others of the love of Christ here at home and around the world. Beautiful Feet was born out of a Southern Baptist church in central Florida. It exists to recruit, encourage, train and mobilize volunteers with the Gospel of Christ to the world. The organization also helps local churches organize and implement trips specialized to skills, desires and calling.
