Barbara Laporte has almost 25 years of experience in employee development and training and career management. As a consultant, Barbara presented for leading outplacement firms including DBM, Lee Hecht Harrison and Spherion. Barb’s master’s degree is in Human Development from St. Mary’s University, Winona, Minnesota. Her emphasis within that program was Career / Life Transition Counseling for Mid-life Adults.

Equally important in shaping her ability to touch readers and clients with compassion and insight are the significant transitions and multiple losses she has experienced in her own life.

Barbara has used, refined, and taught treasure mapping as a goal accomplishment technique for over 15 years. Among the amazing success stories are new careers, weddings, real estate transactions, and greater work/life balance.

Barb lives in New Brighton, Minnesota with her husband, Ron Lewandowski.
