Paul Wahrhaftig has been active in organized conflict resolution since its modern beginnings in the early 1970s, as a practitioner, organizer/networker and writer.

A prolific writer, Wahrhaftig co-authored The MOVE Crisis in Philadelphia; Extremist Groups and Conflict Resolution. As editor of The Mooter, and later Conflict Resolution Notes, Wahrhaftig has written and edited countless articles documenting and challenging the conflict resolution movement.

In 1999 he received the Margaret Herrman Award from the National Conference on Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution for his lifetime contributions to the field.
