Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Since 1992, Kathleen Negri – Elder Law Attorney -- has helped families plan for the legal and financial issues raised by long-term illness and death. Since 1997, Kathleen Negri – daughter – also has been a caregiver. She accompanied her mother, Patricia, on her journey through Alzheimer’s until her mother’s death in July, 2004.

It is this unique combination of Kathleen’s legal knowledge with her compassionate caregiving that gives her the ability to powerfully connect with audiences and to guide them along the path to peace through Alzheimer’s with a message of hope and peace.

Kathleen is a licensed Colorado attorney and member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She has served on several bar association, educational, and non-profit boards and committees. In 2000, Kathleen was elected by her peers to be a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Association Foundation, in recognition of her outstanding dedication to the welfare of the legal community and the advancement of the legal profession. She received her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1986.

Kathleen made the choice to embrace her mother’s dementia and become a loving companion through this devastating illness. In doing so, Kathleen embarked on an amazing journey with her mother—one of self discovery, love, and peace. This is a journey that she wants to share with you.
