When asked why he started ElkCamp.com, Jay says, "When I first moved to Colorado and started elk hunting in 1989, there were few places one could go to obtain information on elk hunting and fewer hunters willing to share some of the most basic information essential to learning about this great wilderness adventure. I determined that if I ever broke the code and learned anything of value to other hunters, that I would find a way to share that information."
