"Design is Everywhere!" proclaimed a recent New York Times Magazine Cover Story. Everywhere, it seems, except the interiors of our books. A New York City high school English teacher and her students break away from standard black and white interiors and invent a radically new approach. Their brilliant marriage of word and image promises to captivate a generation of readers reared on television, movies and music videos.
Join Ms. Kirschenbaum and her students on an unforgettable journey, both verbal and visual. Watch as they combine the breathtaking beauty of illuminated manuscripts from Egypt, Greece, Rome, Maya, China, India, Japan and Medieval Europe with today's latest technologies to transform the act of reaading into a multisensory experience for all.
