Throughout her life, from the Great Depression era beginnings as a poverty stricken share cropper’s daughter from the back woods of Seneca, South Carolina to the President and CEO of her own company, Mildred Ramsey has been a role model and inspiration to everyone who has gotten to know her. She was in the 10th grade of high school when she had to go to work on the night shift at a cotton mill to help support the family. After graduation, she continued to work in the textile industry for 42 years as a weaver. In those 42 years, Mildred was watched over by many supervisors, but what they did not know was that she was also watching them!

A late bloomer, Mildred, at age of 61 launched a new career by writing "The Super SupervisorÒ", a unique and controversial book about the sins of management, or what your employees always wanted to tell you but were afraid you would fire them. With over 200,000 books in circulation, the Super Supervisor has become required reading for many managers. The book led to a public seminar, a video seminar series, and a range supervisory training products sold through her company, Positive Presentations, Inc. Mildred has presented her public seminar to over 300 companies, sold over 200,000 of her Super Supervisor Books as well as over 1000 videos. She has just released a new book titled "A Winner Warts and All" and a new training program "the Super Supervisor FORCE Course". In her seventy’s now, Mildred is quite active in her company and remains a role model for late bloomers.

All I Had Was A Dream I was born in 1925 when the Great Depression held our country in its unrelenting grasp. There were no jobs, so my father became a "share cropper." We lived on someone else s property and helped work their fields and bring in the crops. So, as a child, I was a poverty stricken, stringy-headed, snaggletooth, hillbilly hick in the hills of Walhalla, South Carolina. But I had a dream early on where I was standing on stage before a large audience, and they were laughing and clapping. I never forgot that dream. I saw it in my mind thousands of times while growing up. There was no visible possibility of this dream ever coming true. The idea that I would become a "Million Mile Flyer" on three different airlines and travel the world speaking for the largest companies and organizations in existence would have been extremely remote or nonexistent. (At this time, all I had was a dream.) I didn t dream of giving my audience three points and a poem; I wanted to "move" people, to help them, and to motivate them. I wanted to give them something of myself in return for their attention. As it has turned out, I have met thousands of the most wonderful people on planet earth, and they have given me infinitely more than I have given them. I have been a professional speaker for over 15 years. And I have large files of letters, cards, e-mails, personal testimonies, notes dropped in my pocket, and unnumbered phone calls from people who were in my audience or from those who hosted the event. When I first started receiving correspondence from these great people, I cried over every one. Just to think that anyone would take time to write to a speaker. It blew my mind, believe me. I was, then and now, eternally grateful for every contact. Just to show you what I mean, and illustrate how God can make dreams come true, I would like to share with you, "word for word," a paragraph or two from a few of the letters I have received.
