Rif Haffar is a first-generation immigrant American businessman, traveler, actor and author. His first book, Away From My Desk; A Round-The-World Detour From the Rat Race, the Tech Wreck, and the Traffic Jam of Life in America, received excellent editorial reviews. Rif received his early education in the Middle East, Greece and England before immigrating to the U.S. in 1978 and earning an MBA from Portland State University.
He has lived in Beirut, Damascus, Athens, London, Singapore, New York, Washington, DC, Portland, OR, and Seattle. He speaks four of the six official U.N. languages and can order from Chinese and Russian menus. His professional life has included careers in construction, restaurants, floristry, video production, telecommunications and finance.
Rif is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and lives in Los Angeles, CA.
