I discovered wonderful adventures, and made mistakes. Through the hard times, I turned to the empty?page when there was no place else to go, no one else I dared to tell. I wrote in secret, and what I wrote began to teach me who I was. To the empty page I poured out my loneliness, my regret, my despair at the cost of the choices I had made, my fragile hopes, and my fierce blind seeking for something more. Poetry was my refuge, my therapy, my one true mirror, and ultimately, my salvation.

After retiring active careers as a line firefighter Paramedic in Alameda County California and a Hospital Emergency Room caregiver in Berkeley, the author is devoting her full time to writing.
